Job Group F

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

i. have served satisfactorily in the grade of Coxswain II for a minimum period of three (3) years;

ii. have ability to steer a vessel of not exceeding 50 Net Registered Tonnage; and

iii. be in possession of the First Aid Certificate and Fire Fighting Course Certificate from a recognized institution.

i. steering vessels of up to 35 feet in length and a Net Registered Tonnage (NRT) not exceeding 50 tons.

ii. interpreting acoustic records for fishing operations; and

iii. requisition of stores and equipment required for fishing cruises.
